We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Danny S. Jones as the newly appointed President of Emmaus Baptist College. With an unwavering commitment to the Gospel and a passion for Christian education, Dr. Jones brings a wealth of experience and a remarkable journey of service to the college.
Dr. Danny S. Jones embarked on his spiritual journey four decades ago. Born in Waynesville, North Carolina, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1983. This pivotal event propelled him into a life dedicated to sharing the love of Christ with others. He surrendered to preach the gospel under Pastor Jimmy Lancaster in 1994 at Pinehaven Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida.
Throughout his academic pursuits and ministry, Dr. Jones has displayed remarkable dedication and achievements. He began his missionary service to Thailand in 2001, planting churches and founding the Udon Thani Baptist Bible Institute, positively impacting countless lives and baptizing many souls through the years. Dr. Jones's ministry extended beyond Thailand as he assisted and trained other missionaries through his work as professor and academic dean of the Westwood School of Missions.
Education has always been a cornerstone of Danny's life. He has earned degrees from Pensacola Junior College and the University of West Florida, graduating Cum Laude in the field of Psychology. He furthered his studies at Florida Baptist College (now Emmaus Baptist College), obtaining a degree in Pastoral Arts and completing his graduate studies in the field of Religious Education. Driven by a desire to deepen his theological understanding, he received a Doctor of Theology degree from Gulf Coast Baptist in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Jones has been involved in various creative endeavors. He has worked extensively in photography and video production, including aerial photography and videography as a licensed drone operator. Dr. Jones's passion for research led him to explore Biblical numismatics and archaeology, participating in archaeological digs in Israel and collaborating with renowned archaeologists. He is an expert in classical numismatics, conserving, authenticating, and cataloging ancient coinage with a specialty in ancient Biblical coins.
Dr. Jones's dedication to Christian education led him to develop the Baptist Training Center, an online platform offering courses taught by experts in their respective fields. Through this initiative, he equips individuals worldwide for ministry, fostering spiritual growth and nurturing a deeper understanding of the faith.
Danny has made significant contributions to the field of Christian publishing through his Baptist Training Center Publications ministry. Under his guidance, dozens of books by Christian authors have been published, including his own works such as "The Baptist Missionary Handbook" and "The Baptist Sunday School Handbook." Currently, he is working on two upcoming books, a devotional series for pastors and a hermeneutics textbook.
